Tailoring from 350 to 375Follow

What's the cheapest/fastest way to get from 350 to 375? I've been doing some research and there are some different ideas.

It appears the standard route is to make Netherweave Tunic from 345-360. Then make Imbued Netherweave Robes from 360-375. Is this the cheapest route? I know some of these green out so you don't always get a skill point.

I've read other ideas such as using soulcloth to get to 355, but again that's green now. I also read to use Spellthread once you get to 350. Can you just buy the ingredients and turn this for a profit? The guides say to make your first pieces of mooncloth/spellcloth/shadoweave. But the primals are expensive, so that can't be cheaper.

I need the help of a wise tailor here!

The easiest way is using the Imbued Netherweave Tunic/Robes. I know there is the Arcanoweave patterns that drops in instance that can also be used. Crafting your mooncloth/spellcloth/shadoweave sets isn't that great an idea, it requires lots of mats (costly too) and they are Bind On Pickup.. that means, if you craft 2 of those, one is going to the vendor =)

I did the Tunic/Robes until 375. At 370, one of them will be green and the other will be yellow. It took me 6 robes (or tunics) to get to 374. Then I crafted my Shadowweave boots to 375.

At this far up personally I couldn't see any way to make tailoring profitable. I made netherweave tunics/ robes to 360, soulcoth gloves and then imbued nehterweave robes tunics personally. it wasn't too bad just meant a lot of cloth farming. the problem was the specialized set - when I hit 70 i wanted to have this set readily crafted so crafted this at the same time, sometimes trading cloths and sometimes just buying straight from the AH. I'm poor now but have the shadoweave set on my frost mage (investment as my guild and i have no intention that a respec is a good plan) and was able to get my flying mount.

the Anchroweave (sp) set is also a good plan if you also enchant (to be honest i feel sorry for tailors that aren't; considering the amount of arcane dust you need for imbued bolts). i got 2 of 3 parts of the set however raiding after hitting 375 but then - i rushed it :p.

For profit I wouldnt recommend selling tailored parts. a guildmate yesterday bought a pair of soulcloth gloves off the AH for 30g. considering you can DE them and sell a crystal for 60g round about AND the material cost... plus people on my server have the same imbued robes etc up and they never sell. the money making seems to be from selling the specialized cloths (or trading - selling i dont count as worth it if you want the spellfire/ battlecast etc etc which still need the cloths to make). The only way i found to make money was to disenchant; and even then your prob going to spent more than you make.

Cheap and fast really don't go together - either you take time or you take your set bite the bullet but at least them your geared. I chose the latter but think its worth it.

Don't plan on making money while leveling those last points unless you are selling a specialized cloth cooldown. On a similar note, while making your pieces (imbued sets, what have you) send them to your guild disencahter and get the mats back, you will really like it when it comes to needing enchants.

i would go with making the imbued netherweave pieces and adding your specialized set in 3 pieces means 3 level ups.

to make things less painful, buy ready made imbued netherweave!
Normally you would be able to grind more gold than needed, buying the arcane dust is more expensive than needed. I would go with buying the ready made cloth instead since I do not make the cloth to get any leveling done.

this applies for making the specialized set as well, cooldowns and mats combined make a very uneconomic choice to make it all yourself. The time saved can be then directed towards more farming which is more efficient with better gear =)

Thanks for the thoughts everyone. Right now I am at 367. I've been making the imbued netherweave pieces but I ran out of Netherweave Cloth right now. Last night, I realized I should be using my 3 piece set for a point also. I didn't want to buy 10 primal waters so I'm in the process of farming them. Tonight I should make the shoulders which will put me at 368.

After that I'm not sure what my plan is. I'm completely out of cloth right now, but I do have a ton of arcane dust as I've been de'ing for quite a while now. I may just buy the rest of the netherweave cloth but I'm so cheap! Is there a place to farm netherweave that stands out from all the rest? Either way I'll prolly make the imbued tunic up to 374 and then make my last piece for 375.

When I leveled it, I remember each point costing about 50g, and I was getting 20 returned through large prismatics. So about 30g a point.
