Besides any farming of mobs, what gathering professions do you have? At level 50, mining, herbalism, skinning, disenchanting, and fishing all can make money.

Well mining and disenchanting can be moneymakers. Actually if you worked just those two you would have plenty of cash. There is more on disenchanting in the tradeskills forum.

Engineering is one of the worst moneymaking professions in the game, in my opinion. Unless you want the cool toys or some of the higher-level items (nigh-invulnerability belt is priceless in pvp ^_^), I'd seriously advise you to drop it. Like dadanox said, mining can bring in some serious cash for very little effort.

*Edit: Damn you, grammar, why must you hound me so?

my suggestion is Felwood for Mobs.
There are a couple of reasons, first and best is while grinding exp you can work on furbog(SP?) rep. There are decent LW and tailor rewards and a great +15 agi weapon enchant reward for rep grinding. the southern furbie's drop cash mageweave and rep, while the northern higher level furbie's drop coin runecloth and rep.

There is a quest that then allows you to collect feathers for rep turn ins. my suggestion is to not turn in any feathers ever until you are done ginding for kills on them, then turn in all you got.

once you work through felwood on furbie's and zone quests you can then move onto winterspring and then outlands.
