Hi, I've learn the schematic to craft 'Zapthrottle Mote Extractor ' with my engineer alt.
This item can extract mote from gas clouds.. but where are gas clouds?
Someone has got any map with coords?
I've found only one cloud in Zangarmarsh..

As far as I know, they spawn randomly around Zangar, but I've found quite a few of them around Quagg Ridge, and a few in the Dead Mire and around Daggerfen Village. Hope that helps.
I want to say I've seen some in steamvaults
I've seen them in Netherstorm, and I think I've seen them in Nagrand as well.
ive seen gas clouds in nagrand, zangar, and smv. i have only been able to confirm that 2x after several days, i saw a cloud in the same general location. other than that, every one i see is in a new part of the zones.
so i don't know if they spawn like ore/herb veins.
i would recommend for any engineer to make them, though. the cost in mats is already well paid for by the number of motes i have been able to get.

Motes of Shadow come from Felmist in Shadowmoon. Motes of Mana come from Arcane Vortices in Netherstorm. Motes of Life come from Swamp Gas in Zangarmarsh.
I wouldn't bother going out hunting for clouds, since they're so damn rare. The extractor is yet another disappointing engineering item, in my opinion.

The clouds are spread out in 3 seperate zones
The ones in SMV are a dark green for shadow motes, Zangar has bright green/blue ones (Steam Vaults has a garrenteed cloud at the 2nd boss) and Netherstorm's clouds are a deep purple and contain mana motes. However, the clouds in Netherstorm are invisible to the average player and can only be seen by engineers that have special goggles. Other players only notice the clouds if they stand next to them because they gain an extra 5 MP5 I think
Some one saw a cloud in Nagrand? Do you mean the pools of elemental water?
The SMV gas clouds are pretty easy to find, the Zangarmarsh ones are a little more rare and the netherstorm ones are few and far between from my experiences.
Clouds usually contain 3-6 motes (Shadow, life or Mana) and from farming the 14 primal airs for my cape the other day I came out with 7.3 primal shadows as well.
I personally keep an eye out for clouds while i fly around mining to suppliment my regular farming.
