enchanting as a gathering skill....Follow

#1 Sep 11 2007 at 11:46 AM Rating: Default
so i just started a gnome lock on blackrock and i have seen alot of people picking up enchanting as a gathering type skill instead of accual enchanting stuff.

my question is. at what lvl with this accually be profitable? granted i am only lvl 17 right now but when should i start selling mats. from what i understand is that strange dust and lesser magic essance are pretty worthless.

so should i save mats untill i have stacks of 20 or should i use these low lvl mats to just enchant stuff for lowbies just to get a little skill up??

as soon as you can start de'ing items you can start making money. Usually you will receive more money in mats from disenchanting the item then vendoring it. Once you start getting mats, get auctioneer and throw them on the ah and start raking in the money.

it's worth starting as soon as you have 2-3 gold:

1. bid/buy uncommon armor lvl 11-20 for 10 silver
2. disenchant. you get 2-5 strange dust each.
3. sell dust for 2g per stack of 20
(sell any essence in singles, for quicker turnaround)

10 DE's cost you (10 x 10s) 100 silver
10 DE's give you at least 20 strange dust
stack of strange dust sells for 200 silver (2g)
you double your money each rotation... more if you catch some 4-bangers
