Question about melting dark ironFollow

I went to the mining training in HH and expected to be able to train melting dark iron, that was not the case, just got trained to master mining.

I can mine dark iron but not melt it (mining is at 275 now). Where do I train for melting dark iron and some of the other Outland ores?

I have Googled (probably not good enough) but could not find anything.

Okay, found something about it, some sort of quest you have to do in Black Rock Depths, is this still applicable or is this pre BC?

It's pre-BC, but it's still the only way to learn how to smelt Dark Iron.

Its a quest in BRD that involves a stack of gold bars, I think 10 truesilver and some gems. I did it a long time ago when my warlock was an engineer.

Mmm, I am not sure I want to do that. Rather sell the Gold at the AH.

Plus in the end the only place you can melt dark iron and even use dark iron is after you fight/sneak your way through BRD to get to the dark iron forge and the dark iron anvil. In the end few people use dark iron anymore since the stuff that good blacksmiths can make in BC far surpasses the dark iron stuff.
