D/E @ what level?Follow

I am thinking of picking up Enchanting. I have Engineering ATM to 104 and don't really like it. So, I was wondering @ what level of enchanting do you get to D/E? I hate selling my greens from quests to NPC's for nothing.

Thanks
B

Disenchant is given to you as son as you select Enchanting as a profession.
It will also give you a skill up increasing your enchanting skill up to 35 - 50; cant remember the exact cut-oof DE'ing doesn't skill up any more.

Disenchanting stops giving skillups at around 60, from then on you'll have to take some opportunity cost away from your DE profits so you can DE the higher level stuff. It shouldn't be too difficult for you to skill up to 175 with an initial outlay of 30g within 2-3 sessions of buying stuff for DE, then burning the cheapest enchant you can for skillups.

30G?!?! That's a preposterously high amount. I started my first disenchanter with an initial outlay of 10G, and my latest with a starting amount of 50 Silver. My latest (a L18 Orc hunter) has skilled himself up to 150 and made 60 Gold while doing so.

I started with 30g because I picked up a Nightseye for about 24g, sent it to the character I was going to begin enchanting on and sold it for about 31g.

your statement is not the same as the person who used 30g to buy many items all at once, using those mats to level up all at once in a short amount of time, to get 150.

your situation seems to be that of the enchanter who buys, sells mats, keeps extras, levels up enchanting, and repeat, and may extend over many days or weeks to get 150.

Actually it's buys, DE's, levels enchanting, and sells leftovers. I do not keep extras for leveling.

10 hours of play time over 8 days, and I also gained 2 levels over those 10 hours. My point was not that 20G is bad, just that a big starting amount is not necessary to make gold enchanting. By the way, my new disenchanter now has enough gold for a level 40 mount, with a fairly sizable amount left over for self-twinking.

You get the D/E skill with enchanting, as the others have said, and if you hover over an item, with the D/E skill selected it will tell you what level you need to D/E it, most items in game can be D/E'd by 275 skill.

Why would you post an answer...not only an answer but THE answer that at least 3 previous posters answered a week earlier? Does your one line answer reveal a mystical revelation we didn't touch upon earlier? Smiley: confused
