Im looking for the best place around my level (lv29) to find spider's silk and thick spider's silk hope you can help. :)

forgot to mention I play a horde character if that matters
Perhaps ashenvale?
If you want it quick and easy, its probably best to go to stonetalon mountains. The spiders there are around level 17-19 making it easy for you to plow through them in seconds. And they drop some spider silk too.

Sorry didn't see the thick spider silk mentioned.
Now for that, the lowest mob i checked dropping it is plains creepers in Arathi Highlands.
For future reference, i suggest using WoW search engines, such as the one on the left <----------- or the excellent www.thottbot.com

The best place to farm regular spider silk are the blackwidow hatchlings in Duskwood. They are just east and south of the Ravenhill Cemetary in the western portion of the zone. Watch out for Stitches, a 35 elite mob, that infrequently spawns nearby and runs through the area on his way to the road and local human town.
Thick spider silk is not worth nearly as much as the regular kind, so buy any of the thick that you might need instead of farming it.

i don't think its a good idea farming there as a horde, especially not on a pvp server

You mean only on a PvP server. There isn't any reason against a horde farming there on a PvE or normal RP server.
