If I recall, in that general skill range I used:

320 - Thick Draenic Boots - 10x Knothide Leather, 3x Rune Thread
325 - Scaled Draenic Vest - 12x Knothide Leather, 3x Fel Scales, 3x Rune Thread
330 - Thick Draenic Vest - 14x Knothide Leather, 3x Rune Thread
335 - Scaled Draenic Boots - 12x Knothide Leather, 2x Fel Scales, 3x Rune Thread
335 - Clefthide Leg Armor - 4x Heavy Knothide Leather, 8x Thick Clefthoof Leather, 4x Primal Earth
340 - Drums of War - 2x Heavy Knothide Leather, 1x Primal Fire, 2x Thick Clefthoof Leather

I usually only make something when it's still orange. Yellow is too much of a crap shoot. I'd rather use a couple more mats for a guaranteed skill point than risk it on a yellow.

The Clefthide Leg Armor requires more mats, but they can be sold on the AH to recoup the cost. The Drums are useful for raids/instances. Not sure if these sell on the AH or not. The others I pretty much DE'd since the demand for them is pretty low and selling them wasn't much of an option.

Once you hit about 345-350, it's going to get slow. You pretty much have to start grinding/buying primals to skill up from there.

If you have the pattern for the Riding Crop at 350, make that when you can. It's often about a break even on the AH, but better than losing money on something that won't sell.

Good luck.
