At that level of Blacksmithing, Twster, I mostly made the Thorium Brotherhood items that you learn in Gadgetzan. You have to give the NPC Thorium bars to gain the recipes, and then they mostly require Thorium for the items. So I bought a gigantic quantity of Thorium and built those items over and over. 300-350 or so is pretty easy to do, but after 360 or so the best items to max out BS are the Felsteel drops from dungeons.

Lorimath is right, lots of thorium is needed but if your a miner i suggest you make a epl round once in a while cuz there are lots of veins there.

And in the future in your adres bar you type www.google.com and then search for guides or whatever you'de be amazed what you'll find in the first few results

I was a miner but by the time I decided to level blacksmithing, I was 64 and had a thousand gold and didn't want to waste time farming nodes in old areas. I spent hundreds of gold on the thorium, but I leveled blacksmithing from about 275-350 in a half an hour.

The lvlling isn't the problem indeed, its quite easy with the thorium mats but the thoriums where way to expensive for me. So i grinded and i think most will do so,

Its really an easy way just do 1 round each time you log in 20 ore garanteed assuming you know where to go.

i'm an armorsmith on my hunter and a weaponsmith on my warrior and i believe a weaponsmith can't make the thorium plates because that's an armorsmith q. maybe try to find some armor plans on Ah or buy them from a vendor.
Also, stick to weapons that don't require too many different and rare (read expensive in time and/or money) mats!

FYI, weaponsmiths can learn thorium recipes (imperial plate) in tanaris. I am sitting at 265 and these babies will be my lifesaver.....

No recipes from Azeroth need profession specializations. For instance, my Druid has both Tribal and Elemental leatherworking gear on, because he's only level 45. Once you get to Outlands and start doing 300+ recipes, then you will need to choose weaponsmith and armorsmith and you will not be able to make both. Any 300- recipes, you can make no matter what path you take.

FTFY

300 - 350 is the easiest blacksmithing leveling I had in the game past like level 100.

I was in the exact same position two weeks ago, until I searched this very helpful section of Alla and found out about the Imperial Plate recipes from Gadgetzan.

Sure, you have to give the NPC a fair few Thorium bars to learn the recipes, but I made do with purchasing the two cheapest which got me to 300. I had about 100 bars in my bank but ended up buying roughly 200 more (and at 20g for a stack of 20 on my server), it is not cheap.

Following that, 300-330 was a breeze as I had large stocks of both Fel Iron and Adamantite. It is only now starting to get tricky. I am sitting at 346 and just need 4 more until I can get the Adamantite sharpening stone recipes from Cenarion Expedition.

As was mentioned earlier 360+ is going to be difficult as the recipes come from instance drops.

I'm now Lvl 49 abnd bs is 260, but in gadgetzan, the dwarf of the thorium brotherhood won't give me the recipes, nor the q to get the recipes. When i selected armorsmith for my hunter i had a long chain to this but now i'm weaponsmith and I don't know how to get there.... Are there any pre-q's i'm missing?

I think there is actually a level requirement for getting those plans (50 maybe?). Also, I'm pretty sure that the first plan has a 265 skill requirement, so you might want to get those 5 points before going back there.

I think it maybe also has to do with gaininh enough rep with thorium brotherhood.
I'll clear al in searing gorge and do those extra rep q's with the incendosaurus scales etc
Hope it will work.
I'll be able to tell yall real soon :-)

I dont think so, i never actually did something for that rep.

No instance drops needed:

Quote:
295-315

Imperial Plate Boots

18x Thorium Bar

You can start making these at 290, but really, why would you. They take 6 more Thorium per item than the Bracers. As long as your still getting points from the Bracers reliably, make them.

You'll be making these until 315, however be sure to train for Master Blacksmith at 300!!
Master Blacksmith
The Burning Crusade

At this point things are going to get expensive. You may have spent a few hundred gold getting here. From this point on though expect to spend several thousand gold to get to 375 unless you farm a lot of the ore and other materials yourself.

315-320

Imperial Plate Chest

20x Thorium Bar

More Imperial items, this time a few more bars per item, for a quick 5 more skill points.
320-325

Fel Iron Chain Tunic

9x Fel Iron Bar
The few Fel Iron items that you actually need to make on this speed trip to 375.
325-330

Lesser Rune of Warding

1x Adamantite Bar

A cheap item at this level to make, however plan to make more than 5 to get your skill points. It took me 12.
330-340

Adamantite Cleaver

8x Adamantite Bar

This recipe is a limited supply one, sold by Aaron Hollman in Shattrath City, Arras in the Exodar, or Eriden in Silvermoon City.
340-350

Lesser Rune of Shielding

1x Adamantite Bar

This is another cheap item to make, however it will not always give a skill point. Plan on making up to 20 of them to get your skill points. It is however far cheaper than any other option.

This recipe is sold by Mari Stonehand in Wildhammer Stronghold for Alliance players and by Rohok in Thrallmar for Horde players.

350-360

Adamantite Weightstone

1x Adamantite Bar
2x Netherweave Cloth

While still a cheap stone skill point, this is way more expensive than the stone items your used to making. Also to get the recipe you need honored reputation with the Cenarion Expedition, but that is fairly easy to get, and makes getting these 10 skills points far less expensive than any other method.
Aldor's Rep Path
360-370

Flamebane Gloves

8x Fel Iron Bars
4x Primal Water
4x Primal fire

Your first truly insanely costing item to make, at over 200 gold each just for the primal waters and fire.

Requires your to have honored rep with the Aldor to buy the pattern, which is BoP.
370-375

Flamebane Breastplate

16x Fel Iron Bars
6x Primal Water
4x Primal Fire

Your finally there! Just 5 more items to create, each one costing over 250 gold in primal's alone!

Requires your to have revered rep with the Aldor to buy the pattern, which is BoP.
Scryer's Rep Path
360-370

Enchanted Adamantite Boots

3x Hardened Adamantite Bars
12x Arcane Dust
2x Large Prismatic Shards

Your first truly insanely costing item to make. As the saying goes, if you have to ask what it costs, you can't afford it.

Requires your to have honored rep with the Scryers to buy the pattern, which is BoP.
370-375

Enchanted Adamantite Breastplate

4x Hardened Adamantite Bars
20x Arcane Dust
4x Large Prismatic Shards

Your finally there! Just 5 more insanely priced items left to craft before you are done!

Requires your to have revered rep with the Scryers to buy the pattern, which is BoP.

The hardest part (for me that is) are the last 5 points, not the mats but the recipe which needs for you to be revered with your faction.

!!! For the weaponsmiths !!!!
At 370 Thunder and drakefist are avaiable for construction, just go to trainer at forge in shattrath
