What would you do?Follow

Ok, so I just picked up my epic flyer yesterday. Currently I have mining and disenchanting as my professions. My dilemma is this. I have 2 alts, a 62 warrior, and a 51 druid. The warrior is a skinner/lw, and the druid is herb and alch. Since I realize how much goes into raiding, I think I am just going to keep my hunter as the only raider, and my resto druid when the next xp comes out. So should I drop enchanting on my hunter and pick up Herb. Since I can now farm very efficiently, or keep it, and make my warrior a herb and miner, and make him my farming alt and hope I make enough mining/DE to get him his 2 flying mounts?

I would just hate to drop enchanting because I put so much into it, but I never sell enchants, just d/e crap. I could easily make my lock (22) that I am bringing up my D/E but then I would have to level it up again (money sink).
On the other hand, there is so much money to be made with herbalism, probably more then with mining. All I really do is farm, and do daily quests. I think I have finished just about every quest that I know of besides Dungeon quests.

So what would your guys do?
I'm so confused...

My first question is why did you make your warrior a LW? The good stuff is BOP and you can wear plate. Anyway, if enchanting and mining are already high then keep those, they are both good gathering skills. Keep skinning on the warrior (if its high) and take herbalism-the motes of life you can get from mowing through bog creatures is awesome. Then you have 2 good moneymakers. I would keep herbalism/alchemy on the druid because everyone can benefit from the potions and the other toons can make enough gold to help with alchemy training.
Best of luck!

Lol, i was a super noob when I started this game, I never played an MMO before, and I took mining/bs on my hunter. After I realized my mistake I made a Warrior and made him LW/Skinning, thinking I could make gear for each other. I later dropped blacksmithing for enchanting, and the LW just kinda hung around. I was hoping I could make leather for my druid but like you said most is BOP.

I just feel that by the time I get my druid to OL its gonna be quite a while, and in the mean time I could bank with the mining and herbalism on my hunter with his epic.

I would personally level up the warrior if you want to do raiding, that or the druid. Hunters are fairly rare on raids (maybe 1, max 2, from what I have seen) come on raids, there is always demand for tanks + healers.

Well I am pretty secure in my raid spot I think anyways. I just dont think I would have time to gear the warrior to raid. And my guild already has great tanks, and healers. But like i said when the XP comes out I may look at my options.

After thinking about it, I'm gonna have to check the ah for herbs and see if there is a greater profit there or not. I was making good money buying greens and D/E'ing them , but it seems that the market has been flooded and prices have been very low. Like I said I can always get what I need to powerlevel my lock with enchanting before I drop it,if I go that route. Enchanting was great while leveling because I could just d/e all the quest rewards and drops that i didnt need, but now that I'm almost out of quest's it's a little slow.

I would do the herbalism thing. Its so easy to level, dedicate a whole saturday to it, you'll be 375. Or split it into chunks, but its very easy to level and helps alot with raiding. Especially since you have an epic flyer.

Hmm, yes I think I will give it a try, I can always have a guildie D/E things for me. Looks like I will farm some lower instances to get a stockpile on enchanting mats before I drop it.
