Haveing trouble getting Heavy/Thick leather?Follow

For me i was just wandering along and stumbled into this gold mine of leather. Down in STV there is a cave full of crocs. Its just south of Mosh Ogg Ogre Mound. They are level 42-44 crocs. It is very big inside the Crystalvein and you will surely never run out of mobs to kill. Not many people there after hours of farming, one of the best spots for this, Horde will have a easier run there than alliance.

I will post more leather areas as i level with it

I prefer Tanaris for the leather. In addition to Heavy/Thick, you also can collect a lot of turtle and scorpid scales, with an occasional rugged leather.

If you're after Heavy/Thick leather try the gorillas outside Booty Bay, head north and they are on the right, quite a few of them. People do use them for various quests though.

Thick/Rugged - EPL, north of the road on the west side. Dogs and bats.

Rugged/Thick - Winterspring - Yeti's.

Assuming a PVE realm, good leather spots are the east side of loch modan for light/medium, the level 30-31 cats in STV for medium and the occasional hide, the stealthed cats near Bangalash for heavy and shadowcat hide (used for these most excellent gloves and the hides sell quite well by themselves), the apes near booty bay for thick/heavy

The gorillas just northeast of Booty Bay in Stranglethorn Vale are good for heavy leather on my server. People seem to consistently farm those for the gorilla fangs for a quest and leave the gorillas for others to skin.

Scorpids in Tanaris, particularly those in the southwestern part of the zone, drop lots of scorpid scales. Those sell for a nice profit on my server.

Yes i know there are many other places to get it but i was looking for places where people are a no show and the mobs are all together and not as scattered, all your places are good places also.

You actually want bunched up mobs? OK, try an instance like Zul'farrak.

I agree with this, and the Turtle Scales will be a must if you're a LW and want the Wild Leather set because you'll need around 100 of them.

Best place I have is Dragonmurk. Ground out Heavy with some thick for my first mount. Its the south end of Dustwallow and once you get all the way down there you can just constantly run circles around the mountain that the instance is set into. By the time you finish a round, they're respawning.
