Level 35 Priest Tailor and Enchanter 235/200

Most of the orange patterns require MW, so where is a good area to farm.

Also, do not get the robe of power pattern. Nice blue item, but BoP and expensive.

Last first. My priest got that robe and used it till the Dreamweave vest. Lovely bit of kit.

As to MW, you are going to have trouble. It tends to drop off mobs level 40+. What I would do if I was you would be continue to farm the silk, sell it on the AH and buy the mageweave you need.

First go lvl to 45+ then go to Hinterlands get some quests to kill trolls and they drop Mageweave. At your lvl you can also go to STV and some Trolls drop Mageweave.

that or level a bit more and start going to SM, the drops are about half MW and have silk.

I would agree with the others. Sell your silk on the way while you are leveling up. Silk on my server is selling for only about 50 silver or one gold less than Mage. When you get to your early-mid 40's farm the Ogres (I can't remember if that's Tanaris or Feralas).

I would tend to disagree here. I ran SM many times last night on my 70, and of all the cloth I got I had about 4 stacks of mageweave and 20+ of silk. I did only run Cathedral once though, is that where the drops of mageweave are good? Library and Armory are definitely almost all silk drops.

Take your L41 hunter into Gadgetzan and get the Wastewander quest. Go east along the road to the ruins and kill those MOBs. Not the best mageweave drops, but probably the best for that level. You should have no problem killing them. You can also go to SM with that hunter and get mageweave there, as Anobix noted.

Edited for credit.

The best place I've been to is definatly Lost Rigger Cove in Tanaris.
But you need to be like 45+ to kill the mobs.
They almost always drop MW cloth, I've made 3 stacks in 20 mins there. :P

Thanks for all the advice. Yes, my 46 hunter is the best source of MW, and you are right 40+ is when it starts happening. Too bad the priest levels so slowly compared to the hunter. It really needs to group for best results. Hunters can solo just fine.

I recommend farming MG from the furlogs (sp?) in southern felwood. They drop decent amounts of MG plus you build rep with the timbermaw (access to twink enchants and decent patterns)..."Kill two birds with one stone" concept.

This area is too high for you priest but is definitely doable with your hunter.

I have a 70 hunter, and at the time I had a 36 warlock (alliance) and I needed MW to up me tailoring

Best place i found (after solo'ing ZF a few times, SM, wastewander, and other sources) were the ogres in southern tanaris. The ones near the very bottom of the map (where they have dunemaul ogres, warlocks, brutes etc). Dropped average 1-3 every kill, very economic. I think the ogres are around 43-45, not too sure on that, but the point is it's nice place to farm.

Lock is level 40 atm with 300 tailoring :D (can't up it til lv50)
