Outlands Gold Guide- DraftFollow

#1 Aug 11 2007 at 12:25 PM Rating: Good
Hey all,

I've started a draft for a money-making guide to follow up on my old one. I decided that, rather than continue with the previous version, I'd create a separate one for Outlands. Give the draft a read, and let me know what you think. Any ideas, criticisms, observations, etc. are welcome and appreciated.

From a gold per hour standpoint I think it goes like this without an epic flyer

- Farming primals (by a large margin!)
- Mining
- Questing
- Herbalism

And with an epic flyer, mining + herbalism will blow everything out of the water.

to the available recipes, I'd add in

Blackened Basilisk, available from Innkeeper Grilka or Supply Officer Mills

I've made a lot of money from this recipe.

Instances - apart from quests I wouldnt call them money makers. Drops on trash are usually miserable and whatever drops from bosses either goes to someone that needs it or you get to /roll for item/shard competing with 4 other people.
And with bad pulls repair bills and lose of consumables make it actual money sink in my experience.

Instances are fine if one wants particualar drop, quest or rep farming. But for making gold I would always take 1-2 hours of farming anything over 1-2 hours or more doing instance.
