Fishing & cooking. Tell me more babyFollow

#1 Aug 11 2007 at 4:11 AM Rating: Decent

I am really interested in this two profession lately. Reason being i'm bored of the common mining skinning issue.

I am considering picking up both or maybe just fishing itself. So if anyone could kindly tell me :)

And since i'm pretty bored lately and my hunter's account has expired, i usually log on to another mate's 70 priest With tailoring and enchanting. Which i do not really find useful in the making of gold. So i'm thinking of sitting down fishing while i study infront of the monitor screen.

I'd like to know whether this profession (cooking too) is a worth or just a waste of time, Noting that i'm currently at level 1 fishing. Or are there better option in the journey of gold?

Hit me baby. (not too many times)

You realize that playing on an account that isn't yours comprimises the account? You know that you (and your friend) can be perma-banned if caught?

Fishing can be lucrative, but if you think that you don't have to pay attention and do something else while your toon catches fish, then you are delusional. Even with FishPing, it's very easy to miss some catches. How much studying can you do in the 20 seconds between catches?

It's not a waste of time. I can make approximately 80G/hour just fishing the pools in Tanaris. It's also a relaxing break from grinding/questing, although some people find fishing boring (I think that the ones that do might have a bit of attention deficit - or, they might just be easily bored).

Are there better ways of making gold? Yes. Day Trading and Disenchanting can make gobs of gold, but also require you to know (and study) the AH market. Nothing comes for free in the game.

That is so much true.
I cant even chat properly anymore with this new "gain fishing" because I cant catch that last click, I wish they would change that back.

Or they might be just impatient kids? :p
At level 48 or so I lost any interest in leveling and went fishing for days. My mage friend would come to try persuade me to go level again and having nothing better to do but argue with me he picked up fishing too.

Now he is usually that impatient kind (I seriously told him I wont play with him any more if he stays fire specced because all the noise, jumping and dying totally annoyed me), but after few days forced fishing by my side he actually decided it relaxes him too and thanked me for showing him how to make a break in otherwise hectic running around.
It helped him later to fish out his primal waters too.
