Ok my mining is at 59, i also have Herbalism and i tend to run with find herbs on more because they are harded to spot. I am real good at spoting mineral veins and picked up a macro in another thread i use that helps alot. My question... what are the best zones to train up my skill and what does my skill need to be for each type of mineral?

Keep getting copper until 65 then you can start mining tin until around 125.

look mostly around mountainous areas and then in the bottom of the lakes in the barrens. (assuming you are horde, of course).

I suggest regularly switching your mini-map between herbalism and mining. Veins and herbs sometimes occur in unexpected locations and behind other items that block your view. You're likely walking past many veins if you just have herbalism running on the mini-map. You'll find veins and herbs in 'awkward' spots, like near bunches of mobs. I think its Blizz way of making you 'pay' for them by needing to fight those mobs first.

If you're Alliance, tin veins first shows up in Westfall in and around the Gold Coast Quarry.

I used this guide to do my mining. It's good because it has map images showing you what routes to take in each area.

Possibly go to Hillsbrad. There are many copper, tin, iron, and silver nodes there. As well as one gold node. I think there are a few herbs here and there also. Hope I helped. Good luck. :)
