i have a lvl 60 warrior with 258 mining im currently about to ding to 61 but i wanna get my mining up to 300 so i can start mining from outland spots.. where should i go to get my mining skilled up from 258 to 300 and what are some tips to do this??
My recommendation would be Winterspring. There quite a few small thorium veins that will get you to 275, then you can start mining the rich thorium veins in the same zone.

No to both, i say go EPL there are many and i say many thorium veins (rich and normal) over there. I i do one circle around EPL (when nobody was before me) i hit 6 or 7 rich veins and 5 or 6 normal vein.
After a while you exactly know where to mine and you can save up the thorium to sell it in stacks for good money (my server is 15g a stack)

I used above guide. I liked it because it had maps that showed what route to take in each area.
Also, despite all the usual garbage there, the official WoW forums actually have good info on powerlevelling all professions; including mining.
