Hi,

just wondering if I can change specialty for tailoring. I am almost done with my frozen shadoweave set and will want to do the spellstrike set (or at least get the mats) It would be much cheaper to pay 100-200G and switch than to continue doing just the 1 for the same mats.

yes you can, you have to pay 100g (I believe) to change though.

edit: forgot to mention that if you change specialties the other set (from that specialty that you made) will be useless and you do not get any of the bonuses from it.

I knew there had to be a catch to this. I guess I'll just have to trade cloth with someone else.

Thanks for the answer.

Forget bonuses, you can't WEAR the old gear. Read it again, "Requires Shadoweave Tailoring". If you switch specs, you cannot equip that gear until you respec back. So if you like switching between fire and shadow, expect to spend 200g everytime (150 to change tailor specialities, 50 for respec). Thats some expensive respecing.

Of course you can still keep the gear in the bank, it doesn't disappear, but you can only wear the gear for which you're specialized for. So unless your a priest with an epic flyer and 4000 in gold, whats the point?

sorry, by bonuses I meant all of the stats on the gear entirely. I think that if you are wearing the gear while you respec it doesn't take it off your body, but all of the stats do not count anymore (or something of that sort).
