Up to a certain point does your Herbology level stop going up? because i think mine got to roughly 75 and now no matter what plants I pick ( i can manage mage royal ,etc) there no longer is a msg saying my herbology is going up. Do I have to talk to a herb person somewhere? if so does anyone know where this person can be found? Ty if anyone can help

Apprentice herbalists are capped at a skill of 75 until they seek a trainer and learn Journeyman herbalism (capped at 150). If you look at your skills tab, it will read Herbalism 75/75 as in "You have 75 points out of a total 75 points". When you learn Journeyman herbalism, it will read 75/150, and you'll be able to continue skilling up.

thanks very much, do you know where I might find a herbalist who can teach me the journeyman level?

Protip:

You can search for "Herbalism Trainer" here on this website to get a list of trainer NPCs.

For the gathering professions (Herbalism, Skinning, and Mining), any of the trainers should be able to teach you the next level. Except when you need to uncap 300-375 -- You'll have to go to an Outlands trainer for that.

Also remember that as your skill grows, harvesting the simple herbs will not help as much to increase you skill level. When you move your cursor over a herb, look at the colour of the writing in the text box in the lower right hand corner of the screen. If it is grey, then picking that herb will not increase your skill level by 1 point (obviously still pick the herb for sale, or for use in alchemy).

You don't say what you're playing as (Horde/Alliance, race, profession), so we can't give you any pointers about where your nearest herbalism trainer is.
