JC 212.....and still 212Follow

#1 Jul 18 2007 at 11:37 AM Rating: Decent
Hey guys...

Been lvling up my jewelcrafting (perhaps a bit too much...don't even have my mount yet) but i've hit a snag at 212. The only items I can make that give me skill points are the trinkets which I can't sell, and the citrine healing necklace and ring...which I can't make any money selling.

Am I doing something wrong, or perhaps did I miss out on a schematic somewhere. I want to get to cutting for some real coin, but I haven't been able to get any higher than my current lvl for about a week.

Elemental Water is scarse on my server, (used to make the citrine healing items)

If I could find a few Truesilver Deposits, I think that would solve the problem, as I can make a bunch of truesilver commander rings and aquamarine signets...

Any advice on where to find truesilver deposits, or other ideas to get me to 300 would really be a big help.

Sometimes with crafting, you just have to bite the bullet and take the loss to your pocketbook in order to skill up higher.

Check out mapwow.com for a good place to locate specific ores.

So actually what you’re saying is, you have the recipes to keep skilling up, just not the mats.

Specifically, you mentioned truesilver ore. Unlike many of the other rings up to this point, the truesilver commander ring actually is a popular and desireable ring to wear.

Either spend time mining truesilver or buy from AH...you may make some or all the money back when you sell.

If you’re level 40+ and don’t have a mount yet, go ahead and get one. It will help greatly in mining, having a similar new feeling when level 70 players get a flying mount to go mining.

As for all the other items you can’t sell or won’t sell…if you don’t want to get a little money from AH for it, just vendor it or d/e it. Often some items you make won’t necessarily sell well but it’s great for skill leveling.

Any advice on the best locations for truesilver deposits???

You are correct about the truesilver commander's ring being a sellable item, everyone's usually selling it, but I'm willing to undercut in order to sell mine. I just can't afford to be buying truesilver in the quantities I bought mithril in...I have leveled my mining to 230 (God Bless The Badlands) so I'm now ahead of the curve...I need to get the 81g for my mining skill, and jc isn't getting me any money at this particular point...I sold a bunch of Moonsoul Crowns and Jade Pendants of Blasting for good coin, but these items aren't selling for any real $$$

If I can find a good zone chock full of truesilver, everything else will fall into place. I'll level my JC...sell anything I can't use for JC lvling to get the riding skill.

On an unrelated note...I want my druid to have a wolf as opposed to a kodo...how can I get exhalted with Org?? And will I have to be lvl 60 in order to ride the wolf since it's not my racial?? Also, will I be able to get the epic wolf @ 60 even though I've only had the kodo? Or will I have to ride a blue wolf prior to being eligible for the purple?

Knew I should've previewed...

Wow, so many questions. Okay, first off I found Arathi Highlands quite decent for Truesilver, which IIRC is the rare form of Iron. Around the Stromgarde Keep, there were normally either Truesilver or Mithril veins.

On the subject of mounts, you're right that you need to be at exalted rep level to get mounts from factions other than your own. No, you don't need to be level 60 to ride the level 40 mounts, even from other factions. The only requirements are money for the skill/mount and exalted rep level.

You also don't need to buy a 40 mount from the faction to buy the 60 one. You still only need the cash to purchase it (and the skill level) and the reputation level.

On the alliance side, I've noticed a fair few druids that don't bother purchasing the mounts until 60 - they just use cat form to travel until then.

I appreciate all the information...

I've never seen a truesilver ore in arathi, but i'll certainly look harder.

I'm a Tauren Druid, and the cheetah just doesn't move quick enough to keep up with a group when I'm going from Kargath to Uldaman...Or sprinting across the STV jungle to avoid ganking from the alliance.

A good friend of mine is a 63 troll hunter, and he told me that without the mount, leveling in the 50's will be extremely time consuming, due to the endless travel time for certain quests.

But again, I do thank you all for your input...

By the way...checked that mapwow.com

Had every piece of info I needed on ore locations.
