here's my dilemma. I want to drop engineering and pick up another profession. What is holding me back is i don't want to loose my boe headpeice. Will that happen if i drop engineering? When you drop a profession do you lose the ability to use the boe items you made?
As far as i know you can keep waering it.
You will most likely not be able to wear the item.
The BoE stuff I have on my hunter, which is an engineer, requires the engineering skill to wear. If you drop the profession, you then don't meet the engineering skill check to wear the item.

That is correct for almost all of the engineering goodies.
