drop engineering for Smithing?Follow

Well I'm kinda disappointed in engineering and was thinking of switching to Smithing. On the flipside I don't feel like starting a proffesion from scratch again. What do you think?

Do you have money? Lvl a profesion is easy if you have money, I lvled tailoring to 200 in a week because I had money =D MONEY!!
(But cloth is ALOT cheaper then ore/bars.)

Think about it though. You probly won`t be able to use any real cool stuff you make with ENGI if you drop it but you can still ask a BSer to sell you pretty much anything.

Answer: Do whatever you think is more fun. It`s a game anyway.

I agree entirely with the above poster.

Do whatever fits your character the best. Also, remember that a lot (most) of the items that you made with engineering will be unusable if you switch the profession. If you haven't spend much money doing engineering then I don't think there should be much of a problem switching over.

Also, what is your secondary profession (I would assume mining)?

And I hope that you are not thinking of switching to bsing to make money, as with most crafting professions they are money sinks.

I actually did the opposite of what you're asking.

I had been constantly supplied tons of gold to get engineering and blacksmithing up together, without the need of mining.

However that was awhile ago.

I had engineering and blacksmithing up to like 260 each, but now no real way to generate cash to get either any higher.

Took a long time but I decided to drop Blacksmithing (still hurts) and keep Engineering (to blow stuff up, duh) and get mining.

Engineering is fun if you go all the way, and the tools you get (i'm a Goblin engineer) can actually help pretty well in most situations. Blacksmithing I believe is only really good when you max it out.
