You have to get the expert first aid book from Deneb Walker in Stormgard Keep in Arathi or Balai Lok'Weien in Brackenwall Village in Dustwallow Marsh.

This is sort of along the same lines as the first question. I am currently at 225 First Aid. I have tried the quest several times with the Surgeon in Theramore Keep. I have as of yet been able to complete it. My qustion is there a book I can use instead that will allow me to raise my First Aid above 225, and if so where do I get it?
If there is not a book available to get my First Aid above 225, does anyone have any tips or suggestions to help me complete the quest?

I believe that quest is the only way to get First Aid above 225.

I had troubles with that quest at first as well, but I did a few things that really helped.

1.) Definitely hot-key the bandages. That saves a lot of time.
2.) Of course, focus on the Critically Wounded first, then the Serious
3.) Try to find a spot basically near the middle of the room where you have to move the least. I lost a lot of time the first couple of tries moving around the room. The least amount of movement saves you valuable time on the critical patients

Hope that helps.

The biggest key is like Anzalover said #3.
Find a spot in the middle of the patients and DONT MOVE. You dont even need to really "hot-key" if you dont want to. Just click icon back and forth. Of course helping critically wounded first.

If I remember correctly -
Heal in this order:
Undead toons - 1st troll toons - 2nd
orc toons - 3rd

When you find your first critically injured patient, start healing them. As soon as the heal starts channeling, turn (BUT DON'T MOVE) and find your next most injured patient in the room, and left click on them. Neither turning nor selecting your next "target" will interrupt the heal. Then the INSTANT the current heal completes run to the next guy and start that heal. Rinse and repeat, easy as pie.

I wish we could do this quest more often. I really enjoy it. Eg, having it as a mini-game in some way, offered by those various faction groups (like Darkmoon faire).

The tips here are great for soloing it.

But occasionally if you are there with someone else also who is working on the quest, if they still have the extra triage bandages then they can help you while you do it. They just bandage others and you’ll get credit for it, too.

I believe the easiest way to do the quest is have a friend tell you what to bandage.

I had my fiance on the phone telling me what to heal, and which ones to pick when they were all the same. The first time he didn't help me, the second time he did. I completed it my second try.

Also, hotkey the bandage, as others have said.

I found it easier to stand just inside the doorway for this quest. This way you can see the whole room better without having to turn all the time. You need to get far enough in so that the soldiers are within range.

@ Nicocai:

When you go to Stromgarde, stay to the right! Follow the wall around to the right, making three right turns until you cross a bridge into a garden. Deneb Walker is hard to find, but he is the only one you can talk to.

@ Cistron:

There are a lot of great tips in the posts above. The single best tip is to do it with someone. I don't know if it is a bug, but you do not have to be grouped with that person. After I finished, I helped two others get it done, one after the other.

So, if you come upon someone else doing it, just wait until they finish and ask for their help. If not, then use the other tips listed above and if you fail, wait for someone to come along and let them know you will help them if they help you - I think only one person can actually do the quest at a time even though two can heal the patients. But remember, you need to get the quest to get the bandages.

Other important tips (listed above) include hotkeying the bandages; look around for another patient to heal while the heal you are doing is channeling - but *don't* move; stand in the middle of the room - but you need to be within range so you may have to move a step toward a patient to heal them.

There are a few who believe you should let the critically injured go because if they die while you are healing them you lost all the time you spent trying to heal them. Basically, that is the idea of triage. If you have more patients than you can treat, then you sort them into three categories: those so badly injured that they are unlikely to survive and therefore will waste valuable treatment resources; those who need only minor treatment to hold them until more advanced treatment can be done (for instance a fractured bone that requires surgery can be splinted for a short time); and those who need immediate advanced treatment and will benefit from it most.

Having said that, most people doing the quest will try and take the critically injured first. I did let one die during one go round, because I couldn't remember if he had just appeared or had been there a few seconds and I didn't want to take the chance. I was successful anyway.

Its a tough quest, but once you complete it successfully you will want to do it again. Good Luck!
