OT: Favorite Class/Trade skill combo?Follow

#1 Jul 07 2007 at 10:52 PM Rating: Decent
Hi, I am new to forums and to WoW, and I was just wondering what class and trade skills people found to be most fun or rewarding? I know that pretty much any job and class can be compatible. I'm just curious to see what others think.

I think I would pick a class first, that's much more important than what professions combo you choose. I would suggest for clothies (mages, warlocks, priests) tailoring/ herbalism or tailoring/enchanting is a good one, but tailoring is sort of a money sink. For rogues and shamans I would suggest leatherworking/skinning. For warriors and paladins, blacksmithing/mining is good. Or you could even pick up two gathering professions (herbalism, skinning, mining) and sell off all your goodies to buy stuff you really need instead of waiting to level up a crafting profession. It's all up to you.

Id say for a warrior alchy/herb is the best all the rage and health pots you could ever want makes up for our lack of any healing abilities and constant intake of damage

I usually go with 2 gathering professions and just prefer to make money instead of gear.

I do the same until I am at a higher level that can use any of the decent gear that you can make.

On my lock I had herbalism/alchemy long into 70. Then I dropped herbalism for tailoring.

On my warrior (level 20) I maxed enchanting (225) - she is my DEing alt now.

On my hunter I took mining/JC.

I have pally with skinning/mining but plan to drop mining and pick herbalism again.

I have one more level 10 bank toon with LW at 150 just for making scraps and light leather into heavy leather that sells bit better.

If you dont go for some BoP items, like I did with tailoring for FSW on my warlock, it really doesnt matter much imo.
I would always recommend getting 2 gathering skills up to 70 tho, then you have bit more ideas about what you want/need on your toon and enough gold to raise whatever tradeskill you decide on.

Don't forget the herb/alchy rogues too. Great way to supply yourself w/ potions that are useful to level. Also, herbalism gets you your own fadeleaf for blinding powder and swiftthisle for thistle tea.

everyone different , Personaly i like hunters ... and Mages

for mages isposethis would be a typical Mage

Mage :
Tailoring + MM = (mining - herb - Skin)

Hunter's :

Most of my mates that are hunters have the same as me ..

LW + Skin as hunter's , well i duno i think it just somthing ment to be done by hunters.. always go hunting <:-) and questing u can pickup money from skinning and makingyour own amour .. that where skinning and LW works to gether

Quest > XP > Killing > Skinning > Leather > Amour / LW > Less cash spent .. well thats what iv found ..

OK hopei helped :)

Lets just hope your joking and know thats a secondary proff

But anyway i recomment you take 2 gathering (mining, skinning, herbalism) like most already said. Craftingprofs aren't worth the effort in the early lvls but the money earned from the gatherings do.

When you reach the higher lvl's you'll know what to choose (if you still wanna craft something) for yourself.

Class wise:
close combat action works for me so i have a warrior
casting spells like a wizard is also fun so i also have a mage
