Vendoring or Disenchanting Outland Greens?Follow

Just wondering what you guys think is a good vendor value something is worth vendoring instead of disenchanting. Sometimes stuff vendors for like 2g so ill just DE it, but lately ive seen some things vendoring for 6-8g and I'm tempted to vendor instead of DE'ing it.

Get the add-ons auctioneer and enchantrix and compare the values vendoring to DEing. That's what I do, and on an OT note, my friend sysfailur's on your server =D

There are two programs you can download and then upload. They are called enchatrix and auctioneer. NOt sure if they work with the new patches or not.

If I have read correctly they should help with:
auctioneer - helps give the average selling price of an item

enchantrix - will take the item you want to d/e and show what mat it might become

I basically d/e anything in outlands that isn’t soulbound. The reason why is because I’m always making money in some way. Vendor loot, sell off extra cloth, quest money, etc. But I can’t always get enchanting mats for the enchants I want…and I definitely don’t want to buy it instantly in the AH at some inflated price when I’m in town and need an enchant.

So I slowly build up my mats, and I know that it will go fast as I get an enchant or two, but at least I didn’t have to buy 50 arcane dusts at 60-100g out of pocket at AH. In that sense, I feel like I’ll save money over the long run even if vendoring the 8g item is a nice 8g in pocket, rather than just 2-3 arcane dusts. However, as others said, weighing the potential of the vendor money versus the dust price on your server, it may be better to sell the item off. 8g might represent 8 arcane dusts you could buy, instead of just 3 real dusts that you got.

As you know from doing so much d/e, weapons tend to give better mats than armor, and higher level stuff (say, 65+) tends to give more mats than lower-level stuff that d/es into the same mats.

I tend to DE everything that won't sell well on the AH. The only exception is 65+ 2-h weapons. They often vendor in excess of the value of the greater planar essences you would get from them.

DE anything vendoring for less than 7g. After that it's a tough call, but more often than not it's still worth it. At worst you'll get a few slightly overpriced enchanting mats.

vendoring is a quick and certain way to make money and theres no 100% chance itll sell in the ah so its really ur choice

Vendor weapons, DE rest.
Weapons sell for about 5-10 gold each, you usually don't get that back from DEing, armors are like 2g at the vendor, and you can easily have 3 or 4g in mats.
