Making $$ with BSFollow

#1 Jul 02 2007 at 8:34 AM Rating: Decent
Anyone making money with blacksmithing? If so, what items do you make? What are the items that consistently sell? Which make a good sized profit? Is BS worth the hassle? Can you make money or is it more for personal use?

I am sure that 90% of the people that will reply here will state that Blacksmithing is almost completely done for personal use (similar to tailoring and leatherworking), as the most powerful/best recipes are BoP.

Those that do find that they 'make money' which I don't think anyone will fully comp the costs that it took to level it completely and so forth, is if they found a niche market selling their items.

That, and nobody is going to share their money makers with you and everybody else. =P

These items worked for me pre-300 BS. You will not sell tons or make huge profit, but it always kept me in gold.

All the Sharping stones.
Inlaid Mithril Cylinder
Ornate Mithril Boots
Mithril Spurs (maybe)

This is what worked for me. It depends on your server. If you can use BS then cool otherwise it is usually just better to sell mats and buy the products off the AH.

Good luck and have fun

A stupid post by a totally ignorant poster. So total that if her ignorance was shadow, it would cause an eclipse of the sun. What does Nirise think this forum is for - trading recipes?

I think it's good to monitor the AH for common things used in other tradeskills. With all of the higher levels in outlands there might be certain things they're no longer farming. Like say the iron buckles, enchanting rods of lower levels, etc.

In the end though I think you would do better simply selling the ore. With the engineering changes and also jewelcrafting there's always someone powerleveling tradeskills with plenty of outlands gold to throw around.
