I completed the quest for the Dawn's Edge plans from the guy in Everlook. Am I a Master Axesmith? Is there a place where it says I am a Master Axesmith (ie. character sheet) or somewhere else?

If you look at your general spells (where it shows Attack, and your racials and everything) there should be an ability called "Master Axesmith"
If this isn't so, then talk to the guy again and, if you've finished the quest, ask him to make you a master axesmith
