Epic Tailoring: how much to tip/payFollow

I just wanted to get a feel for how much gold you guys ask for/give out if you have a tailor make something like the Battlecast hood/pants or Spellstrike hood/pants.

Now I plan on providing all of the mats (except the primal nether of course since it is BOP). So for the primal nether and my appreciation for their services, what is a good amount? Are we talking 100G, 500g, 1000G? I really just want a ballpark number so I have something to start with in the negotiations. Thank you:)

edit: just to make it easier, I have included a link to the pants of each.

Nether is easier to come across now that it's a guaranteed drop from heroics last boss. It depends on the rarity of the item you want really and I'm not sure how rare Battlecast and Spellstrike things are on your server.

I have Spellstrike hood pattern myself as well as the epic damage thread from exalted with Scryer. And if I craft either of them (from the buyers mats) I generally charge 120g for my nether. You can break it up as 100g for nehter, 20g for a tip to me for crafting if you wish, but when I glance around 80-150g seems to be the general rule.

Average is about 100g for the nether + tip if necessary (like if they come to you, or are very quick, or you have dealt with them before).

thank you, if nothing else it is a starting point.

15% of the cost of mats, minimum. The tailor spent a lot of time and effort learning the recipe and skilling up. Don't be cheap about your tip. Being generous is great encouragement for the tailor to continue selling to others, and you never know when an alt or a guildie will need his services.

On my server its about 100-150g (for nether + tip), which isn't bad, IMO.

around 80-120 on dark iron.

girdle of ruination is a rare pattern drop so the guy requested 150G.

based on the rarity of the pattern, expect to pay more for a tip :)

Probably not related, but I had someone make me a Satchel of Cenarius with my mats. I tracked him down, and went to him, and then gave him 10g for doing it.

125-150g.

I have a few epic patterns, I dont bother selling to random people for the time being. Maybe if I had a few spare nethers I would. Right now I'm close to my spellstrike pants and runic spellthread so I have 2 nethers in the bank for those. Then I have another 1 I'm saving for a guildie (free) and I'll probably get 1 more in the bank before I even think about selling others.

After that I'd only sell what drops. For the time being, I need the heroic badge gear more then I need a measly 150g. Maybe once I get all the gear I need from the badge vendor that might change. But for now, I'm not wasting badges on them, and I'm not selling what I got.
