That all depends on what you want to make and what your class is. If you are a paladin or warrior being a blacksmith can help you out with weapons and armour. other classes might benefit from the weapons you can make but not as much as a plate class. You can also try engineering or jewelcrafting to go with your mining if you want a crafting tradeskill. If you want to use mining to get gold, get skinning with your mining to maximise your profit, since both mining and herbalism use the minimap to show locations to mine/pick.

As Dreekenkorin said it, it all depends on your class, but also what you will be doing in the game. Are you on a pvp or pve realm, do you enjoy battlegrounds, are you looking for end game items to make.
Warrior – I would certainly recommend Blacksmithing, both weaponsmithing & Armorsmithing will be great for a warrior.

Paladin – You can go blacksmithing, but a lot of people will not recommend you to go into Armorsmithing, for there is not a lot of plate armor geared towards a Paladin.
If you went engineering as a Paladin then you would know have access to ranged weapons i.e. Bombs, dynamite. (not great damage, but could be used to pull)

If you are doing a lot of Bg’s or on a PVP realm then Engineering will be very beneficial due to the trinkets that you will be able to make, along with the new end game epic gears are amazing. It is also been said to be one of the more enjoyable professions.

Good Luck on your quest,
Regards,

Enjoyable, yes. But almost guaranteed to keep you poor. Only engineers can use the really good things, and they can also make them. You can have a lot of fun with Engineering, but I wouldn't recommend it for a first character. You will need a "cash cow" to feed this money-hungry profession. (That's a pun if you're a Tauren - otherwise it isn't). It's a great profession for a twink PvP specialist.

Well Zadelce, you could pick up skinning and mining, and if you wish, you could later dorp mining and get Leather Working, I don't know much about Leather Working and if there is anything good you can make with it for a rogue, but I hope you figure out what you want to do ^.^
