...and I go take a look at the season 2 arena maces. Better, hands down, than mine. Mine which took leveling smithing up to 375, took crafting the tier 1 mace (dozens of primals), and took 8 primal nethers. So I look up the tier 3 mace, dragonstrike, which takes 5 nether vortexes (the primal nethers of the 25 man raids). The arena mace is still better than it.
WTH? Does anyone see a possible buffing (again) of the crafted weapons, or is there simply no need to bother going for my tier 3 weapon? I'll have the arena mace within 3 weeks or so, and that just makes me sad.
The only thing that the dragon maces have is the haste proc, which I am not underestimating, but the stats/dps/top-end damage on the arena mace is too much to ignore.

I agree with you man, i have pretty much stopped attending Kazzak and Netherspite kills simply because the arena Sword kills those. It is kind of a slap to the face for raiders, but if you think about it, back when they first changed the pvp award system so you could spend your points, most of those weapons were better than MC/BWL loot. Either way QQ
