Ok I am not exactly sure how this works. I have been told you can use these even if you aren't an Engineer. But I have also been to you have to be. So now at this point I am completely lost.

*edit* Ok i found out they do require engineering but was wondering do they still hurt you if you fail? Read something about them use to explode but sense they don't go boom any more will they still hurt you or just fail.

Since the recent patch where they *fixed* Engineering, my cables have worked on every occasion, and I haven't been greeted by a 1000ft drop when I hearth to Gadgetzan. Although, they never blew up that often in the first place.

my basic cables have a 1/3 chance that they'll work, 1/2 chance if they don't release. do they hurt you? yeah every now and then, you'll get a shock for 50 points which won't kill you and is definately worth it to save the priest a long run. still waiting for my skill to use the XL cables..

If they fail thy can do some minor damage to the user, not such a huge loss.

They stoped "Breaking" because the payoff was just too much, when they did break I used to jump for joy. it turned out that every time they "Broke" I looted them for a huge payback My record was 3 fused wireing and more jems then i put in to it, usualy a cable "Break" would net me at lest 7 gold.

PS, can anybody acutlay provide any information to the rumor that releacing has ANY effect on the cables, over two years of using them and my research shows that this is a load of crap, that posters keep perputating due to ignroace. Sure I Could be wrong, but after evaluating 2 years of use i see it as 50% on basic cables(regardless of weather they releaced or not) and 73% on the advanced(once again, releace status had NO effect, they numbers are the same(as an average))

so can anybody provide crediable proof of tsaens stament? I mean for real, not theroycraft, or rumor.

hello there. I got 1 question withthe jumple cables. I am not sure if on the last patch they said that goblin jumple cables XL would be able to use on both eng (gnom and goblin). Is that true? I checked the pattern and still is for goblin engi only BUT i don't know if the trinket itself have the same tag: Need 250 skill and golblin engi or is just need 250 skill (in that case it would be able to use both eng)

Can somone confirm that? thank you.

"perputating due to ignroace"? of course i didn't think that the idea was mine and original, but i'm not following it due to ignorance. no, i don't have pages of stats, percentages, ratios, all that jazz. it just seems to work more often when they don't release. *shrugs* don't follow it if you don't want to, but don't bash on others for trying.

Yes, you still need to be a Goblin Engineer to use Goblin Jumper Cables XL.

It requires Goblin Engineering to make the XL model, but no particular specialty to use them.
