#1 May 22 2007 at 3:07 PM Rating: Decent
Hey everyone,

I have been working on a modified update for this guide regarding patch changes etc and was wondering how I would get this published to the website.

Any ideas?

Thank you!

Levelling enchanter for free. DE cheap greens from the AH - seel mats, use spare mats for levelling. (Actually, you make money while doing this, so it's even better than free). I'm getting close to 300 enchanting and never spent a dime.

Actually, you did spend some money since you bought stuff on the AH.

Spend even less. At least until too many people figure this out.

I stumbled upon rings and necklaces almost accidentally. I was frustrated with the extreme cost of gear on my server, especially since I was only going to DE it anyway. I checked Armor: Miscellaneous on a whim and found a gold mine.

Post-BC there seem to be -alot- of JCs. Which means alot of jewelry on the AH. At a fraction of the cost of green weapons/armor of the same level. You can even find some relatively cheap Blue jewelry.

The cost increases by the level bracket, of course. And as weekends are the busiest for AH activity, your best deals will be found then. Numbers will vary based on a bunch of factors.

As an example:

I spend no more than 1.5G to fill my mailbox with rings/necklaces of level 11-19.

I spend no more than 4G to do the same with level 21-29 jewels.

And, currently, I'm spending about 4G for 15+ jewels of level 31-39.

My costs increase with each level of Jewel I want to buy, but its way cheaper than weapons and armor. And the jewels DE into the same dusts/essences as gear of the equivalent levels.

I hope this works on your server(s), and that the JCs don't catch on -too- quickly. Those of us on the "mature, older" servers need a price break somewhere. :D

WRONG! I made money. By getting a 50% profit, I doubled any money I put into the AH. Any mats I used in levelling were spares, and because of the strategy, basically purchased at 1/2 price. But remewber that I was selling a great many more mats than I was using to level my enchanting skill.

SO, if I put 100G into the AH, and spent 25G to get 50G worth of mats, 75G would be left over for sellable mats. Of course, at lower levels, it's more like spending 5-8G for the greens to create the mats, but you can still put 100G into the cheap greens easily.

the 75G would make me 150G, while the mats only cost me 25G.

You'll see that the more you spend on cheap greens, the more money you make. Of course, you need to have pretty good knowledge of your AH and what mats sell for.
