I'm interested to know the best/easiest places to farm leather. I have found two so far and they are the wendigo cave near kronos and iron forge. and the cave wendigo place on the hillsbrad foothills... These places are easy as they are regulary patrolled and mobs spawn fast too.
Does anyone know any other places that Leather can be farmed easily?

Depends on the lvl STV is a good place with all the tigers, Crocs & Phanters and raptors and you lvl goes good because she will lvl up 2 becuase you have got Elder and things like that
Yeti Caves above Southshore is prob my favorite place to both farm leather and grind. About 100xp per kill, med and heavy leather and Green drops. And if your bags get full you can always run to town and mail the stacks to an alt.

generally these yetis are an easy kill, even for the appropriate level. they yield money, greens, and leather.
as such, there are other yeti caves around.
Yetis in Feralas yield mostly thick, and yetis in Winterspring yield mostly rugged, with some thick.
For other easier spots, look where people are also killing them. Burning Steppes and Blasted Lands is good fi you find some animal corpses around. Otherwise, if you kill them yourself, there is still an abundant amount of mobs to may some kind of loop killing them.

Back when I had skinning, the area outside of menthril bay with all the raptors. They were always spaced out pretty well, would get tons of heavy with a few thicks thrown in.
My all-time favorite place to farm leather is still the hippogryphs in Feralas. They're easy to kill, and there's absolutely gobs of them roaming around.

You don't mention what level you are, but if you are farming the wendigo cave near Kharanos, then you can also check out the area outside the dwarf camp near the lake that's not far from there. There is an early dwarf quest that requires a number of bears, wolves, and boars and at a busy time you just run from kill to kill skinning up a storm. Always found that to be the most productive expenditure of my time in terms of skinning, along with the cave you mentioned.
As far as the raptors in the Wetlands go, if you can handle them that is a good place also. They run between 20 and 25, with most nearer to 20. There is a quest that requires a drop from them that has a very low drop rate. One night, doing that quest, I must have killed forty or fifty and there was a Lock doing the same. I finally got my drop and left her out there. Go there at a busy time and you can also run from kill to kill skinning and, like the earlier poster said, they give the heavier leather. But you need to be able to handle them because they tend to re-spawn pretty quickly.

WINTERSPRING FOR RUGGED FROM YETIS WOOT

By the way I am lvl 32 at the moment so am enjoying the yeti caves outside Southshore. Have just moved onto Arathi highlands to farm Raptors, Just got me a new pet Raptor and called him Clawz so need to get his obedience up and grab some meat for him.... Not high enough for winterspring yet but just descovered it so will be there next I think.

I found a good place in ashenvale by accident, just wandering one day, the two mobs here are Terrowulf Fleshripper and Terrowulf Shadow Weaver, they are really easy to kill as a lvl 32 and are grouped closely and the spawn rate is great for grinding leather (once you finish killing them they start to spawn almost immediately)
a good area after this in just above the cave yetis in hillsbrad Mountain Lion amd Hulking Mountain Lion they are about lvl 30-35 and drop heavy/medium leather a lot, they are a little spread out but still close enough together to kill and not spend a lot of time between kills and there is an NPC close by that you can sell the random stuff you pick up and repair your armor Thanthaldis Snowgleam
and as for the next area after this, hinterlands is a good place for medium, hard, and on rare occasions, rugged leather (lvl 40s)
