Hi guys /waves

I am a baby mage (lvl 35) and am loving Enchanting. I read the guides and picked tailoring as a companion skill but I am bored with it.

I like a challenge and am looking for a skill that will help me solo. I like the look of Alchemy or maybe engineering. Which of these in your opinion would help me soloing the most ? Obviously skill 300+ is going to be unavailable to me until im much higher level so Im thinking in terms of around 300 skill level.

Thanks in advance !

you couldn't really use engineering except for maybe a head slot (by the time you lvl it so the head slot is actually good you'll most likely have a better one), and just the basic things you can make in it are sometime helpful. Alchemy is extremely helpful in all outlooks, so I suggest you take it

alchemy is more useful. even the +STA and +HP regen potions will be useful at the early levels already, and it just gets better from there.

Enchanting + a crafting prof like engineering or alchemy? I hope you have a rich main funding you. Do you know what the auction house prices are on herbs/minerals? Its gonna cost you a fortune.

Enchanting is my money maker haha. DE and sell DE and sell.

Make around 150- 200g a day on my lvl 29 pally taht does nothing but make a 10 minute auction run every day.

Also sell the LW stuff i make on my main..pretty profitable if you time the buying of mats right.

Howdy! So, my suggestion, Alchy all the way. I have a 70 rogue who's an engineer and basically, I stopped pursuing the profession at around 330 due to the lack of a promising future. Really, it's a pvp profession. If you don't spend TONS of time pvp'g, then you're gonna loose about the only viable benefit of the profession - other than the fact that it pairs with Mining which is a HUGE money maker.

I'm a huge believer in the fact that one of your main chars needs to be an Alchy due to the availability of pots for your alts, xmutes to make money, items, etc. Additionally, if you're Alchy and have Herbs then you can make some serious money with the herbs themselves as well. If not, it's expensive to level up do to the high cost of herbs on most servers. Note - enchanting is never going to change for you if you only use for DE - you will cap out and not be able to DE high end stuff due to the realtively new implementation of skill level playing a role in what you can and cannot DE.

Good Luck!

so you are going to buy herbs? Frankly this method doesn't really work, with Alchemy you are better being an herbalist so you can feed it the mats that you gathered to make your potions/elixers. Just like with engineering it is good to be a miner to get the minerals/ore. With enchanting, tailoring is pretty good so you can de the things you make and then enchant things.
