Blacksmithing, Enchanting and the Auction HouseFollow

I am a relatively new player and was wondering if any of you guys have had any luck creating blacksmith items, enchanting them and then selling in the AH? And if so does adding enchants seem to bring a premium over the plain un enchanted item? Or would this be a waste of time.

IMO, this would be a waste of time. Most crafted items for BS are dime a dozen and just lose money. Speaking for myself, when I scan the AH, I don't scroll over every item to look for enchants, even when I'm looking for a certain item. I simply look at the price. It would be too time consuming to look for enchants, in most cases. I'd be surprised if many people did actually look for enchants on items.

IMO, you'd be better off selling the enchanting mats on their own, rather than use them on the BS items. If you're trying to level up BS, then make green items and then disenchant them and sell the enchanting mats. It's a money loser, but you'll probably make more money off the enchanting mats than you would trying to sell the BS crafted items.

That is an excellent point in regard to how people scan the auction house. That is how I use it too when I am going to buy something.

On my server i have been lucky enough (so far) to unload my blacksmith items at a premium over what I can get by just selling them. I believe that my server has a fairly low population though.
