Grinding new blacksmithing/engineeringFollow

I am a 70 shaman with 375 herb and alch, it was ok before The Burning Crusade, but now it kind of sucks. I'm a meele spec, and I don't get any of those fancy weapons & armour the new blacksmiths get, and a goblin rocket launcher would complete what I lack, a stun. So I figure I get 375 blacksmithing and engineering, get the armoursmith mail chest to give me a bubble, and a rocket launcher to give me a stun, after that I use a bunch of swiftness pots for a stun, catseye for increased stealth detection, and I would be 2x the pvp'r I am now. All good but really if I started engineering and blacksmithing from the ground up, how much money would I loose?
Thousands of gold depending on server prices? I'm willing to spend it, but then idk what to start buying to get to the top of these proffesions. Instead of looking around I ask, has anyone ever figured how much metals you need to get to 375 blacksmithing and engineering, and/or everything I need to make? If they have please send me a list!!! (server Scarlet Crusade if anyone could help ingame)
