what area good for leveling fishing at 165Follow

looking for a good area to fish to bring my level up. if anyone knows of a good place i would appreciate it

Since leveling fishing doesn't rely on anything but time spent, it doesn't matter where you fish. However, if you're going to spend the time you may as well make some money.

I recommend the coast in Wetlands, many oily blackfish and firefin snapper schools. Also, the little lake in front of Stromgarde Keep in Arathi Highlands is full of mithril-headed trout, great for leveling your cooking or selling on AH for others to do the same. And if you don't mind dodging mobs, go down to Stranglethorn Vale and follow the river, best place to find greater sagefish schools, good money there as well.

That's a good point...what level are you? If you are a lowbie then I agree that the moat in SW is an ideal place.

If you're above 35, go to the moat in front of Stromgarde Keep, its way below the road so no pats will bother you and there's nothing else nearby, plus the money's much better from mithril-headed trout than anything you're gonna pull out of SW. So why not level and earn?

I'm currently fishing the shore below Southshore. Tons of firefin and blackmouth schools and the mobs are all mid-30 nagas that won't even look at you if you're 50+.

It can be tiresome but with the new "buffs" to fishing (20 sec timer and guarantee of fish striking) in this last patch (or is it the next one) you should be able to level much more quickly.

It all depends on your character's level. I found the ponds in the south of Feralas to be chock full of fish that sell well. I was in my mid-40's when I found it.
