If I ever make the arcane resist or fire resist stuff it will be because I have the mats and want to try and AH it for profit. None of the rep available gear really excites me much either so I'm really going to base my faction choice on smithing.
Has anyone made their scryer/aldor choice based on smithing and why did you choose one or the other? I've looked at wowkiki and the FAQ here but see nothing to urge me to pursue one or the other.
Apologies if this has been brought up. I browsed as much of the archives as I could stand to prior to posting this.
Edit: Warrior currently sitting at 346 skill level in smithing.

I picked Scryer because I found that 80% of people I knew had picked Aldor. A quick look at the AH at any time also revealed plenty of Aldor craftables being sold at or below material cost with none or few Scryer craftables being on the market. Your server / faction may differ so do your own research of course.
Thanks man..that's good, practical advice and I will check the AH for a week or so and see what happens.
