Blacksmithing Question.Follow

I've been 250 BS for a while now.. put it on the backburner for a bit to concentrate on grinding. Now from what I've heard, 250 is the magic BS number where you're able to start making some decent gold.

I'm level 40 atm, bringing me to my question... Do I need to be a higher level so I'm able to farm more of the mats for the weapons/armor, or are there any in the 40ish range that are farmable for now? The mats on my server tend to go for more than the finished product itself.

If you're around level 40, I guess you'll be mining mostly iron and mithril ore with some truesilver thrown in occasionally. Perhaps you'll be starting to find thorium but I doubt it'll be enough to make enough products to sell.

My blacksmithing is only 235 (ish) right now but I haven't seen anything that will sell for more than the cost of the materials. It could be that my realm's economy is off-kilter slightly or that I'm too low level but I can't see anything that looks profitable.

If I'm right about what you're mining, you will find a lot of people looking for exactly those things - iron and mithril ore plus the gems that come from them. You've got the mithril order quests in blacksmithing, the weapon/armor specialism quests, the work-a-day blacksmiths and jewellers all looking for what you've got.

My suggestion is to sell the ore.
