Something different for a warriorFollow

#1 Apr 10 2007 at 2:39 AM Rating: Decent
Hello All,

Firstly a big "Hullo" from sunny Manchester (UK) as this is my first post.

Secondly, as a relatively noob I have been suffering from altoholism and have been playing around with various race and trade combos for my warriors. Typically I have always picked mining/BS and have generated reasonable amounts of cash at low level but have not really used any of the kit I have made myself.

Is herb/Alch a better alternative given that it offers better benefits "straight out of the box" or is it worth persevering with BS until the kit becomes more worthwhile?

As a quick straw poll, if you're a BS do you use much of the stuff you make yourself or do you just flog it?

Endgame blacksmithing is worth it. When you hit 70 and get to start making epics it pays off.

That being said, I'm not sure you'll find a lot of use for it along the way. What I've found from most crafting professions is that the decent items require mats that are hard to aquire at the level where said item actually helps you. There will be a few items along the way that you use, but most of your gear will come from drops, questing, or the AH.

My advice for crafters is this: "don't expect to make a lot of money, or a lot of useable gear".

Realistically you may be better served leveling with two gathering professions, then power-leveling a crafting prof at 70.
