300+ LeatherworkingFollow

Now that I've hit 70 and replenished my cash post flying mount, I'm ready to start putting some effort into my trade.

Currently I'm a 330 LW, and was wondering what patterns people have found to have the most value in terms of either use or resale. I plan on making some armor kits (clefthoof, cobrahide) and probably at least a few drums.

Is there anything else that other players will actually buy on a frequent basis? Or designs that require less of the hard to get mats?

Just looking for some insight from those of you have maxed out your LW.

I'm not a leatherworker, but I know the clefthide leg armor sells like hotcakes on my server. Every rogue and hunter twink want one of those.

I'm just curious how to get more than 300 LW ... Thats where I'm at right now ... 300 skinning aswell ... but can't seem to find a trainer that will give me some cap room ... From my understanding there is a perticular skinning knife that will up my skinning but ,,, what the heck is it called again ?

To train above 300 in any tradeskill you must be level 50+ and then travel to outlands to visit the grandmaster trainers there. For skinning/leatherworking there are trainers on Honor Hold/Thrallmar in Hellfire Penninsula and in Shattrath.

You can get "Finkles Skinner" from the beast in UBRS?. Also there is an enchant that gives + skinning to gloves.

Alliance LW trainer is just to the left outside the Inn in Honour Hold (against wall)

To train more, go to the Grandmaster trainer in Shattrath's Lower City. Also, go to your respective specialty trainer, I believe they have some BoP epics at 365. As for patterns, start getting rep. The few patterns at that level are from quartermasters, so get your Scryers (Arcane resistance gear) or Aldor (Fire resist) rep up. Along with the Cenarion Expedition (Clefthide kits at friendly and some armor at revered), Keepers of Time (Drums of Panic at Exalted), Thrallmar (Various armor), and the Shat'Tar (Drums of Battle at exalted.)

I haven't seen too many recipes around that level, most seem to be from rep or are drops from bosses, or world drops.

Riding crop is a good seller. But be warned, a lot of Leatherworkers make these so prices are kinda low. Just make sure you get the mats cheap.

You can also craft the fel stalker armor pieces but these cost alot. The primal air is pricey. The other mats are almost free (fel hide, crystal infused leather).
