Does anyone know if Herbalism is nerfed like Skinning? In skinning I found out the hard way that from skill lvl 200 it takes anywhere from 4-6 skins to gain a skill point...Grrrr, has the same been applied to Herbalism? Just would like to know b4 I find another nice surprise waiting for me.

doubt it, just try picking higher level herbs.

The trainer is in Thrallmar/Honor Hold.
On my hunter I decided to take up herbs to supply my alchemist toon that is much lower leveled. It took about 2-3 hours to go from level 150 herbs to 310, it's now at 355 with very little effort. Herbs is probably the single easiest skill to level up.
first aid = easy level ftw lol. mass purchase mats and 'create all' haha. come back after grabbing a few snacks and ur good heh
Herbalism is super easy to level, you just have to go to higher level areas when you can and pick herbs that are orange skill level as opposed to green or grey. It levels so fast I didn't even realize when I hit 300 then again when I hit 375.
