Train for master, can you port to Shatt/train at low level?Follow

My 39 shammy is just about 300 enchanting. Is it possible to have a mage buddy of mine port me to Shatt or is there a level requirement? He is just about 65 so he doesn't have Shatt available yet so we couldn't test. Also is there a level requirement for training master? I plan on moving on to 49 soon (have been playing BG's for quite a bit at 39 now) hoping that will be ok but seems like there is a good chance it won't be.

Your friend can port you there and you can set your hearth there (very useful IMO), but I believe most crafts are level 50? minimum for master. Also, not totally sure for enchanting, but several grand masters are actually in Hellfire Peninsula, not Shattrath.

So once you're high enough, you'd have to do the run to HFP - not impossible, it would just take a while and likely several deaths(I recommend the nekkid streaking method to minimize durability loss).

Yeah I was kinda guessing 50 was the req since it is 20 then 35 it makes sense. Bah, I was hoping to be my own enchanter for the 49 bracket. The mats for 300+ enchants are often cheaper then 300 and under ones.

Pretty sure I read on WoW site training was in Shatt though. Only fair for making us run to Ulldaman anytime we needed to level up at artisan :)

There is info about artisan enchanting training in the Trade Skills FAQ.

I got summoned to Shattrath at lvl 52 and got most of my master skills there. Plus setting the HS there is great because it gives you access to Outlands + the 4 main cities of your faction via free portals.

I had to make the trek to Thrallmar and the other "village" in between to get the connecting FP between Shatt and Thrallmar, and even with a lvl 70 char to protect I was getting so much aggro and dying so fast that it was a bit of a pain (died 2-3 times in total I think).

Nice ty. From FAQ.

"Level 45 - maximum skill is 375 (Master) - Primary professions can only train in the Outlands so the account must be Burning Crusade enabled."

45 was in yellow and still unconfirmed. Keeping fingeres crossed. Can anyone confirm or deny level requirement on this?

Unfortunately it's not 45 but 50, according to official website

Thanks I'll get that "set in stone" in the FAQ.

As other people have said, the answer is yes.

However, your question made me wonder about something. Just how big is a level 1's aggro radius in Terokkar Forest? Has anyone tried summoning a L1 to Shatttrath and parked him outside the gates to see if he'd attract critters from the entire zone?

Hmm, there's one way out of Shatt where there's almost no mobs in the Terokkar forest area, you'd probably just aggro the 1 or 2 basilisks right before the change into Zangarmarsh. Although a level 1 might pull some of the critters that I've never noticed (spiders? wolves?) from far away. Zangarmarsh would be a nightmare, with all the bees, manta rays, and bog walkers around the path. And getting through the ravagers into HFP, you'd probably aggro all the ravagers.

My question is if I have my lvl 52 summonded to outldands (for skill training) and then make that my hearth can you walk back through portal as a lowbie?

My druid could always hearth to Moonglade but I'm curious just the same.

Yes, the portals in Shattrath are not level restricted. My 56 hunter has been hearthed there for the last 6 levels.

*Edit* I think this warrants a spot in the FAQ. I've placed it in the first "general" section.
