Is it still possible to make money with skinning? I have noticed i recieve more scraps than anything.
The reason you receive scraps is you are skinning low lvl mobs.
Try leveling and then you'll see that you wont get any ruined leather scraps. I promise.

i was speaking of 300+ the knothide leather scraps
Oh haha. Well leatherworkers on my server will pay top dollar for those.
Dpeends on server economy though, in the end. What is your other profession? If it is something like enchnating (used as a gathering profession) then you could ust take up mining.

They make those Armour kits, sell them on the AH.
Skinning is a gold mine now. And if you go after mobs that can sometimes yeld special leather (actually scales), you can be earning 200g/h.
