Primal Nether valueFollow

#1 Mar 06 2007 at 11:00 AM Rating: Good
Okay so now I have some cool new plans I can craft and some of them require a Primal Nether.

Knowing these are BoP, how are people valuing these when charging someone to make the item??

Normally, it was provide the mats and depending on the situation, a fee may or may not get charged.

Now, it is different.

You can't just take the mats and make it, you have to have the requisite inventory of Primal Nether as well.

Just looking for other's experiences.

Thanks,

The drop rate is not terrible. They drop off the last boss in heroic dungeons 100% of the time.

And OP, I'm still trying to figure out what they're worth to me. I'm a 375 shadoweave tailor.

I live by the standard "It's worth whatever I can get people to pay".

Ask for offers. Or have a high price and work it down. Or figure out how hard it is for you to do, and think about how much gold that time is worth to you.

Well checking out the drop rate from here the best % seems to suggest roughly 10%.

So assuming I can get a group together to run a Heroic instance, I would figure 2 hours average. I can farm 200g in that time with primals and random drops.

I am leaning towards 600g at the moment, but if I am finding the drop rate more frequent that will come down I suppose.

I've noticed that the made items don't go for the cost of the mats usually.

For example, you can't get 700g for Bracers of the Green Fortress on my server, yet the mats would be a few hundred gold plus the nether.

So my dilemma will probably be just farming for Primal Nethers and advertising my services when I have inventory.

They really need to make these BoE though. I can't imagine the Nether Vortex drops in the later Raid instances.

And to think my last tier craftable weapon needs TWENTY of them.

Yikes.

It's 100%. The reason it seems so low is probably that Allakhazam is unable at this time to separate the drops between a mob killed in normal and one killed in Heroic mode.

Actually, it can. There's a little button you can click to switch to Heroic drops.
