ATM I am a herbalist and skinner and im considering switching to mining/blacksmith good or bad choice? Im a 70 mace spec rogue and was considering going master weaponsmith of some sort, make my on weapons/farm mats and sell weapons. What do ya'll think?

I would say that for personal use the maces you can make as a hammersmith are awesome (nice way to get an epic hammer). However most fo the top end BS weapons appear to be BOP so not much chance of making cash on sales. Although you could make some nice blues for low levels.
Levelling BS up to high enough (about level 350 imo to make the drake hammer) levels for you to get anything useful will be a looooong grind unless you are rich enough to buy the ore/ metal for it (and with thorium prices on my server you will need to be rich). But you would have the bonus of being able to mine with impunity in most of the old areas as you will avoid all aggro from mobs.
Just my 2 pennys worth I switched to BS from her at level 35 and that was bad enough.
