Just hit 70 on my mage, and I saw some of the patterns. Anyone had any experience with powering up Tailoring and its approximate costs?

I followed a guide to get from 1-300 and it was excellent, it won't be expensive you if farm the cloth yourself. No idea how much it would be if you bought it all, it would depend on your servers prices. Once you hit 300 and get Outlands patterns the cost goes up exponentially, especially post 350. But if you have a lot of gold or friends to farm cloth for you it wouldn't be so bad.

This is the guide I followed to get to 300: http://www.xs4all.nl/~brt/wow/guides/skilluptailoring.html

I followed the above mentioned guide as well, it cost me approximately 250 gold to go from 0 to 300 in about 3.5 hours total. (Note that this was PRE expansion) I bought about 85% of all the materials and only the recipes mentioned to skill up. The guide is great and was pretty much dead on. At 300 things are pretty easy because you have mostly bolts of netherweave to make and then a few other easy things. As the above poster mentioned 350-375 can be costly because most recipes require Imbued Netherweave, and unless you're an enchanter with tons of Arcane Dust this can be pretty expensive.

Try this: http://forums.wow-europe.com/thread.html?topicId=13121383&pageNo=1&sid=1#9

It has guides for all the professions from 1-atleast 300.

Highlander's guides have been updated and expanded. There are now 300-375 sections as well.

Tailoring 300 - 375 by Highlander on EU-Terenas and Lobotomy on EU-Frostmane

In the Scryer village is a vendor that sells imbued netherweave robe/tunic for level 360 on a limited basis. I have also had Aldor friends ask me to pick them up as they are not BoP.
