With skill that high I'd recommend mining higher level veins and selling the bars, then using that money to buy copper and tin. It'd be more time efficient than mining the copper and tin. Easiest way to level it is the same as any other profession - pick the recipes that require the cheapest / lowest number of ingredients and have at it. As for weaponsmith vs. armorsmith, you'll have to make that decision on your own.

WHAT??? Never buy your bars. Find a low cost item to make and get enough to make at least 15 of the items between each level set. If it's orange it will give you a point if it's yellow sometimes it doesn't.

What class are you playing as a miner? If you are a warrior or a paladin you are good to go because blacksmithing is only for yourself you can't make great armor or weapons for anyone else. If you are a rogue then you are good to go with any weapon set too.

I am at 361 blacksmithing and it's my hunter. I thought blacksmithing would give me good MAIL armor only to find out Leather working creates mail that is better suited for me yet it's all BOP so I’m screwed out of that.

Mining is easy to get up do a little research on the items you want before you actually jump into a skill like blacksmithing.
