Best Trade Skills For MeFollow

Hey. I'm pretty new to WoW. I've been playing on trial accounts for a while and finally bought the game. My main character is a Night Elf Druid, lvl 25 right now. I'm wondering what profession to take up. I've tried almost every one before, but now that I can get higher level skills, which might work best for me?

I don't really want to spend a lot of time working on it, like trying to sell enchants. Right now, I have mining and engineering, but would leatherworking and skinning or herbalism and alchemy work best? Thanks.

I always thought of druids as herbalists myself.

Herba would be great if you were a Tauren (For The Horde!) but you're not. I would still advise you to take 2 gathering professions first because a) it will generate much more cash and b) you won't really need a crafting profession at that stage anyway. I made the mistake to take herba and alchemy on my tauren druid and I really should have taken herba and skinning or mining instead.

So I'd say take mining and skinning, they are the best money makers, even at low levels. Mining should be super easy once you get cat form (stealth), and skinning is super easy to lvl at low lvls and you don't even to kill the mobs, you can just skin corpses that other players have killed (if they don't do it themselves obviously). Check the price of copper on your server, with a bit of luck it will be quite high because a lot of new jewelcrafters need it. I found that copper was the best money maker for a starting char. And right now making money with professions should be your main concern.

You should start thinking the crafting profession you want to take later and tke the corresponding gathering skill early, otherwise it will mean running around a lot to skill it up later. If you want to be an alchemist take herbalism. Blacksmith, Jewelcrafters need mining (and engineers too to some extent). Leatherworkers and tailors can benefit from skinning.

Thanks a lot. I will take up skinning and get rid of engineering. Actually, I had been a skinner and had gotten it up to 130 or so. Now I wish I hadn't of dropped it. Oh well.

As for making money, should I try to sell everything to players in AH/trade or to vendors? I've never really sold anything in AH other than a few weapons and haven't checked to see what ores/bars and skins are selling for.

On a side note, I'm getting a bit pissed and a little concerned because my realm, Zuluhed, is not up right now when it seems like every other realm is up. I had a lot of free time in the late morning and early afternoon today, but won't later on, and I can't play at all. It is incredibly annoying. Anyone know what is up with that? It's 2:00 PM EST right now.

Edit: They made an announcement that my server will be down for another hour. grrr

Sell all stuff from skinning and mining to the AH.
