Has it been banned by Blizz? If so, is there anything close to it? Haven't been able to find an update to it. Any responses would be kindly appreciated.

It hasn't been banned, or if it was they would have said something I would think.
I think they probably have to do something with the whole new map of Outlands before they release a new copy. I honestly have no clue as I don't know how to create mods so I can't say what they need to do. I too would like an updated Gatherer.

I tried to get gatherer but couldn`t find it. It's not updated on curse-gaming, and the link there goes nowhere. Sure I could google it but then I could end up anywhere BUT the real website. I'm paranoid about key loggers.
