Mining help please!Follow

#1 Feb 22 2007 at 9:06 PM Rating: Decent
I recently took up mining/jewelcrafting on my alt. To be honest, on my main I never really took the time to mine, but ust bought the ores and smelted then sold the bars to get my money back (which worked nicely in the end...especially for rare spawn ores).

Well now I have my mining/jewelcrafter paladin. I have raised my mining to around 100 or so and I am a level 19. Are there any god places to mine tin at my level? Or do i need to level some more first, then head to 1k needles (i have heard it is a rather nice place to mine tin/silver...adn copper)

Thank you in advance for your help.

Bit sure what race ya are but if you are still on copper, go around the barrens, and make sure you always have find ore skill on.

After copper, i think is iron, at 125, arathi and 1k needles are amazing for these.

You could try The Barrens for your level.

It's mostly copper there, but you can still find some tin from time to time.

And yes, 1k Needles is best for Tin imo, and you can get iron and silver too.

I would recommend leveling till 26-28 and head to 1k needles, you can boost your mining fast there.

Tin nodes are found up near the harpies in the barrens, also go to the oasis's, you will often get a tin and copper node in each of them and the occassional silver

If you're already in 1K needles head south into Shimmering Flats. You can walk most of the way around the outside of it on a low ridge that keeps you away from the majority of mobs. On that ridge you will find some tin nodes and a few iron nodes as well. If you can get down there, you could mine it at your current level without too much trouble from mobs.

Easiest answer is to type "tin vein" in the search box at the left and see what areas come up - click on the areas to see a map of where they spawn. Then pick a zone you're comfortable questing in and go after it.

I don't know the good horde spots, but on the alliance side once you're a high enough level to survive hanging out in the caves, you can get pretty good rates of tin spawns. Gold Coast Quarry, the Deadmines, and Jasperlode in Westfall spawn relatively quickly and you can just keep fighting your way up and down the cave to level-grind as well.

Your Horde

There is a cave in the South-East corner of Silverpine forest, just south of Ambermill

2 copper and 2 tin nodes spawn their every 15 minutes or so.

Guarded by lvl 19 - 21 Ravenclaw drudgers and guardians.
